• 4 oz. whole bean organic Winslow’s Blend – During the last decade of his storied life, renowned American artist Winslow Homer (1836-1910) would each year pack his brushes and paints, shutter his home on the Maine coast, and escape New England’s winter for a season spent fishing in Cuba, the Bahamas or on Florida’s St. Johns and Homosassa rivers. The rivers and natural beauty of the Florida landscape would inspire the artist to create over several years a series of watercolor paintings that are today considered by many as some of the most expressive works of the 19th- and early 20th-century.

What distinguishes Homer’s impressionist paintings from those of more traditional, old-school artists comes in part from the approach he took in creating them.  Rejecting staid artistic conventions, Homer broke long-established rules by taking his painting out of the studio and into the outdoors, capturing the natural elements of light, motion and color, and creating with them works of enduring beauty and expression.

Created and crafted in the unbridled spirit of this great American artist, adventurer and sportsman, Winslow’s Blend is a tribute not only to the artist, but to the creative power that is within us all.

Our certified organic, artisan crafted Winslow’s Blend is an artful blend of high-altitude, shade-grown Arabica coffees reveal a natural sweetness and bittersweet kiss of dark chocolate and cinnamon.

 

• 4 oz. whole bean organic St. Johns Riverkeeper Roast – Flowing north for more than 300 miles – from the swamps of south central Florida to the Atlantic Ocean at Mayport – the St. Johns River  is the crown jewel of Northeast Florida, and one of America’s great natural treasures. It provides critical habitat for hundreds of species of birds, fish, shellfish, mammals, reptiles and amphibians, as well as boundless recreational opportunities for Floridians and visitors to the state.

The St. Johns is also a river in peril, as an estimated 1,000 to 1,200 people move to Florida every day, placing growing pressure on the state’s natural and water resources. 

There is hope. As a full-time advocate and “watchdog” for the river, its watershed, and the public to whom it belongs, St. Johns Riverkeeper – a private non-profit organization – works to improve water quality in the St. Johns River and its tributaries, to protect critical habitat in the St. Johns River watershed, to provide meaningful public access to our waterways, and to educate the public about the river and the issues that impact its health
