Sensory Analysis - May 17


This course is designed to build sensory skills involved in evaluating the many flavor and aroma traits in coffee.  Attendees will learn how to properly cup and score coffee using the industry standard SCA cupping form.  They will also be put through various palate building exercises designed to increase ability in flavor and aroma recognition and will work on building their vocabulary in speaking about flavor profiles in coffee.  Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of quantifying the taste and aroma characteristics of coffee.  This will enable attendees to better and more accurately describe coffee characteristics and develop coffee extraction recipes.
